Tulsa
Power, LLC offers concentric taping heads for application
of Kapton, Mylar, Teflon, metallic and other tapes
for insulating and shielding. Self contained modular
units with payoff, capstan and take-up offer minimum
footprint. In addition, inline taping heads are
available to plug in to an existing line or a complete
taping line may be supplied. |

photograph illustrates a cabling/taping line controls
upgrade at a major aircraft cable manufacturer. Upgrades
to the units include a PC based interface with AC
Vector drives and digital speed control for optimized
lay length accuracy and ease of operation. In addition,
recipe type interfaces are available to allow the
operator to enter in the cable identifier and the
system will automatically adjust speed, tension,
and sub- sequent, lay parameters. Upgrades are available
for Tulsa/Kenrake machines already in operation,
as well as, competitor machines. |

Photograph illustrates a complete Kapton Taping Line
commissioned at a major Russian oil company. The
thermally wrapped copper wire is used for electric
submersible pump motors for oil production operations.
The
line included payoff, straighteners/ cleaner, dual
taping heads, induction heater, radiant heater, diameter
meter, fault tester, take-up, rewind line, and complete
laboratory test equipment. Complete customer witnessed
testing, including making and testing product, at
Tulsa Power's plant was conducted. |
