The Tulsa Power Cable Reel Transporter is designed for one operator to retrieve a reel from the storage area or cable yard and transport it within your facility. Rechargeable batteries power the transporter drive system, as well as, the hydraulic drive system that loads and unloads the reel. The walking CRT style offers forward/reverse travel; and can be used as a payout system. The Cable Reel Transporter will provide years of trouble free performance and enable the operator to safely and easily maneuver the reels around your facility.

These units are offered in capacities from 5,000 to 20,000 lbs. with reel sizes up to 120" in diameter. Shafted or shaftless systems are available to retrieve a master reel of material from the cable yard, bring it to the cutting area, serve as the payoff device and return the reel back to the reel storage area.

  • Welded structural steel frame with a heavy plate steel cover for durability
  • Power provided to power pack and drive system by a 24 Volt DC rechargeable pallet truck type battery
  • Battery recharger provided
  • Lifting system powered by an on board DC electric/hydraulic power pack
  • Two (2) hydraulic rams on each lifting arm for rasing and lowering reels
  • Reel shaft is 2 1/2" diameter cold roller steel and is captured during the lifting and maneuvering mode in bronze sleeved saddle style shaft brackets.
  • The shaft includes adjustable machined steel tapered arbor cones for various reel widths and up to 5 1/2" arbor holes
  • Pivoting handle with wide angle steering (180°) making close quarter operation and right angle turns easy
  • Drive unit mounted onlarge diameter ball-bearing steering race designed to resist accidental shock and distortion
  • Power is cut off and brake applied when steering handle is fully raised or lowered
  • Brake is internal expanding shoe type, with drum mounted on motor shaft of drive unit
