Tulsa Power, Inc. has manufactured coiling solutions with collapsible coiling head for hundreds of applications.  The photos below provide just a glimpse of the company’s experience.   The company has provided coiler for thin wall tubing to 8” ID steel braided suction hose.  Coiler with manual and automatic adjustable ID, width and collapse are available.

Tulsa Power offers solutions for winding onto spools from to 3” (76 mm) thru 28 ft (8.0 M).  On or offline spoolers may be offered to meet your exact requirements.

On-Line Pipe Take-up with Reel Cart spoolers are ideally suited for winding directly from extrusion line to large capacity reel. The benefits include virtually unlimited line speed for the coiler, minimum number of reel and coil change-outs and rim drive design offers faster reel loading. Touch screen interface with vector drive systems offer the highest reliability and accuracy. The material may be stored on the reel for further processing.

Traversing Frame, Zero Fleeting Angle Take-ups This system is perfectly suited for high end producers of large diameter, stiff material. The units traverse the entire reel in front of the line, creating an optimum layer wound package. The “Zero Fleeting” angle does not require forcing the product back and forth across the face of the reel, shortening the overall line length, particularly on stiff material. Traversing frame units offer unlimited lateral movement for reel handling i.e. reels may be staged for loading and unloading. Available features include center drive or tire (rim) drive, digital touch screen automatic traversing, vector drives, PLC controlled auto diameter/width loading, and closed loop tension controls.

Model FSTU Shaftless Spooler the photo illustrates a Shaftless Mobile Spooler for Braiding Line Hose Take-up with AC Vector Drive, Touch screen Interface Digital Traverse and On-board Dancer. Shaftless Take-up Coilers/Spoolers may be used for braiding lines, extrusion lines, rewind lines, any application where winding onto a reel is required. The shaftless design is the safest way for handling large, cumbersome reels with pushbutton reel loading and unloading functions. These units are available for over 144” reels and up to 6” OD products.
