SPOOLERS & RESPOOLERS

Shaftless and shafted spoolers are available for rewind, cable repair and deployment applications for inside or outdoor or shipboard use. Spooling equipment available for 1/64 in. to over 20 in. diameter products on 18 in. to over 30 ft. flange diameter reels. Electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, gasoline and/or diesel powered systems are offered. Rigorous testing is standard, specified certifications may be offered. Spoolers have been built for virtually any type of product from ESP cables, wireline, slickline, communication cables, fibre optic cables, wire rope, umbilical cables, seismic cables, mooring line, coiled tubing, etc. A specialty spooler may be built for your application. Shaftless spoolers are faster, easier and safer to load, by eliminating the shafts the spooler picks up reel from the arbor holes; typically, via pushbutton controls. If the application requires periodic reel change-out, shaftless should be considered.

RAW WATER /PRE-LOADING REEL SYSTEMS

Raw Water/Pre-Loading Reel Systems provide an effective means of storing, lowering and retrieving a composite hose at the end of which an ESP can be attached and run below the ocean surface to deliver sea water to an elevated offshore structure. These systems free up crane, manpower and save time. These intrinsically safe, small footprint, lightweight systems eliminate the high maintenance, heavy, hazardous delivery systems. Available in various capacities, hose configuration and lengths to suit your needs. Hydraulic and electric options are also available. Composite hose eliminates separate power connections and provides added safety. Controls include direction of rotation, tension and brake controls for hose reel. A live swivel connection, stand and slip ring are optional. Remote control panels are available for ease of operation. Call us to discuss further details.

SERVICE LOOP SPOOLERS

Multi-compartment reels store top drive service loops during rig moves. Service loop spoolers prevent damage to the expensive cables, reduce downtime for getting replacement cables and decrease rig move times. Spoolers may be powered by the rig's pneumatic or hydraulic system. Frames may be painted or galvanized. Both forklift and lifting eyes provided. A system can be designed to handle any size of cable.
