These innovative drill line spoolers offer 30,000 lbs, 7,500 ft drill line capacity, on-board drill line levelwind, winch and speed/torque control main drive system. The package is designed to take-up the full string of rotary line while simultaneously moving the traveling block to its transport position. The control platform allows the operator to control all string-up, string-down and cut and slip functions from a safe position. Frame is designed for tailboarding. Offshore drill line spooler available for up to 10,000 ft of 2 1/2" drill line capacity with direct coupled, dual directional pneumatic, hydraulic or electric drives and tension brake. Heavy-duty frame designed for minimal footprint with single point lifting and removable shaft for quick, easy reel change-out. Package complete with optional ABS approved shipping slings and ABS certifications. Hydraulic or pneumatic drill line spoolers may be designed to hold over 120,000 lbs of drill line. Tail boardable units are available for land operation. Shipping cradles to deliver full then empty reels to the rig are available.
These reels are designed to store, pay-out and retrieve umbilical/MUX cable/hotline hose used in linking a vessel with subsea control pods. The rugged structural frame is equipped with certified lifting points and fork-lift pockets. Apart from protecting the reel, the frame also accommodates an automatic level wind mechanism, braking system, drive system, control panel, hydraulic swivel and slip ring, as applicable. Adjustable angle level winds are available. A mechanical locking pin physically prevents the drum from being turned with jumper connected. Reels conform to our quality plans and approved welding procedures. Material traceability, TPI are part of the package. Units undergo thorough factory acceptance tests (FAT) that may be witnessed by the client.
