CATERPILLARS & CAPSTANS

The Caterpillars and Capstans pull material at a constant speed through process lines. Caterpillars include synchronized opposing belts and offer individual tension adjustment. Choose from 12" to over 110" long contact surfaces and from either lineshaft driven or control packages. Cutters and digital controls may be added for a completely automatic cut-to-length system. Dancers provide constant tension on material by controlling the speed of the payoff or take-up. Tulsa Power has designed and built virtually any style of dancer available on the market today. Including contact style catenary and multi-sheave dancer, and non-contact optical and sonic dancers. Dancers may be provided for controlling existing or new payoffs and take-ups.
